Greetings Chamber members and sponsors,
I hope all of you have had a wonderful and profitable summer. There have been some great things happening with the Asian Chamber of Commerce that I would like to share with you. Since the beginning of the year, our new and reorganized board has made a concerted effort to service our membership and focus on the local community businesses. We have committed ourselves to helping our members grow their business and to generate income. Our new mission is to create business opportunities to our members through “networking” and by “connecting members to members and our sponsors”. To accomplish this, we have restructured our monthly luncheons to include “one on one” member interactions, “open mike” time that allows commercial time for members, display tables for distribution of advertising materials and by personally introducing our members to potential business partners.
We have added additional evening networking events to stimulate business opportunities to our members. The Asian Chamber of Commerce has added additional evening networking mixers that are hosted by the member’s place of business. The format of the networking mixers is designed to allow for attendee participation through commercial advertising and personal introductions.
Through the aforementioned efforts, our membership has grown significantly this past year. Our existing members and sponsors continue their support and we have had a number of new members and corporate sponsorship join the chamber this year as well. I attribute the growth to the reorganization of the board of directors and of shifting the focus on our mission to returning the “commerce” to the Asian Chamber.
Our next project to stimulate more business opportunities to our members is through the internet. I’m excited to announce that we are prepared to launch our new and improved website this month that will offer advertising opportunities to reach our members and sponsors.
Our success this year would not be possible without our most valuable asset, our members and corporate sponsors, and I thank you for your continued support. I’m especially looking forward to seeing all of you at our monthly lunches held at the Gold Coast every fourth Thursday and at our next business mixer.
